Jess reviews ... Cream Eyeshadow

Hello girls,
I’ve been wanting to try out a cream eyeshadow for a while now, so I decided to create a bronzed smokey eye with this one by elf.
I used an eyeshadow C brush and applied it to my lids, starting at the lash line and working out towards my crease, before running the same brush along my lower lash line.  I am not sure if using a brush for cream eyeshadow is the correct technique, but it worked well for me! The eyeshadow is very, very pigmented, and a little goes a long way, so if you try it out, start with a little and build on it.  The creamy texture makes application so easy; it just glides on, but then sets to the same feel as a regular shadow.
To finish up, I used a clean brush and the elf eyeshadow duo in Butter Pecan (I reviewed this a few weeks ago) to help smoke the look out, and really blend the edges away.  The duo and the cream shadow colours complement each other really well, and using the powder made blending out a lot easier.  This entire look was so quick and easy, I only spent about ten minutes on my eyes (I don’t know about you, but this is good for me!).
Sorry about the dark circles by the way – I am in the middle of exams at uni and I’ve been up till the wee hours studying!
Anyway, I absolutely loved the cream eyeshadow, and I will definitely be getting my hands on more colours to try out.
I hope you all have a great week, and good luck with exams if you have them!
J Xx
